Posted December 7, 2022. This morning on my way to work (about 2 degrees outside) my 2021 MY Kuga AWD went into limp mode. I basically had no power and could accelerate to only 20mph. In this scenario, a treatment is to use multi-function clamps and in the gap between the bonnet and the grille, grab the rest of the lever or the untwisted part of your lever and pull it with force. This will open the locked bonnet of your Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. Then if it is twisted, try to straighten it with your pliers.

the rod slips to far into the bonnet catch and that means the barrel end. slightly dislocates from the turning pin. Solution. remove the bonnet lock. and put a small cable tie around the cross end on the plastic rod. Put the lock. back together and hey presto, the cable tie stops the rod sliding in to.
The actual catch was fine and the bonnet shuts securely. However I kept getting the "Bonnet open" alert intermittently while driving along and the alarm going off at random and annoying the neighbours. Thanks to this site I pulled the cable out of the bonnet catch (there's a little plastic clip you need to push in while you're pulling it).
